Study Focus: To test the effects of a sleep educationprogram on sleep, health status, quality of life, andinflammation.
Location: Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Bay area
Compensation: Care Partners may receive up to $450, and Care Receivers may receive up to $300

You may be able to join if...
- You are a family relative or friend providing care for someone with dementia
- You and your loved-one have sleep troubles
- You and your loved-one live together, at least part-time
You can't join if...
- You are a paid caregiver
- Your loved-one lives in an assisted living facility
- Your loved-one is bedbound and unable to move

What will participants be asked to do?
- Initial Evaluation:
- Questionnaires about sleep habits and overall health
- You will both be asked to wear a sleep watch for 1 week
- Sleep Education Sessions:
- You will meet one-on-one with a sleep educator for 5 sessions
- The Care-Receiver only needs to be present for the first session
- 2 Follow-up Evaluations:
- After the Sleep Education Program ends
- 6 months after the Sleep Education Program ends
- 3 Optional blood draws (from Care Partners only)
